What is Body Butter?
At Butter Yourself, our Body Butter is a luxurious skincare product that provides deep hydration with optional fragrance and color. While body butters differ around the world, ours can be used on the body and face for most skin types, helping your skin stay bright and moisturized.
What is Body Butter made from?
We use pure mango butter and other natural oils to create a Body Butter that absorbs well and feels great on the skin. Butter Yourself products are 100% natural, gluten-free, vegan, and free of artificial dyes. each product is made to order so you're in full control.
What is the texture of body butter like?
Depending on your local climate, your butter may arrive more whipped or more solid. Either is okay, and you can adjust it to your preference. When solid, our Body Butter will have a consistency similar to a solid deodorant. At room temperature, it has a lovely consistency that is similar to cake icing.
How should I store my products?
Our products are sensitive to drastic changes in temperature, so don't freeze or microwave them. You can store them in the fridge if you prefer, but don't leave your products in direct sunlight or a hot car. They will melt at high temperatures. If your product does melt, stir it well and pop it in the fridge. This will often help restore some of its consistency.
How should I use my products?
Each product we sell ships with instructions for use either on the label or on a card in the box. Our products are safe for face and body applications for most skin types, but please use caution if your are prone to acne or have other skin conditions. If you have ordered a particularly strong scent like cinnamon or peppermint, use extra caution around your eyes. Though natural, oil-based products may stain clothing. Use caution with delicate fabrics and always test on a small area first.
What else should I know?
Don't use our products if you are allergic to any of their ingredients. Our products are not meant to be eaten or used internally in any way. The essential oils we use - though natural and safe for most skin types - may be toxic if eaten in large amounts. If you develop a rash or allergic reaction to your product, stop using it and seek the advice of a qualified doctor. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Can you tell me more about customizing my purchase?
You can customize the smell and color of every product that we offer. We have dozens of scents and colors for you to choose from, which means there are thousands of possible combinations. All of our colors and scents are made with all-natural ingredients, so you can tailor each product to your needs and preferences.
Are these products really all natural?
Yes, it's true! The base of our products is all-natural mango butter. For the bright colors in our products, we use all-natural mica powder which comes from rocks and minerals without any added dyes or artificial colors. Our Butter Scrubs are made with real sugar, the exfoliant in our cleanser is pumice, and we use premium essential oils for our scents.
How often should I use my products?
Since our products are all natural, most are generally safe to use every day for most skin types. You know your skin best, so please do small patch tests before wider applications. Some of our exfoliating products are recommended for less frequent usage, but always do what works best for your skin. Body Butter and our other moisturizers are generally safe to use on an as-needed basis.
What is your refund and return policy?
We're sorry to hear that your product didn't work out for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds if a product has been used in any way. You may return any unopened products to us for an exchange or refund, but you will be responsible for the associated shipping costs. We do not refund gift card purchases.
